So we're looking through Zen Garden looking for good/bad css templates. These two seem to be very poor designs. For the greece themed design, the top image is to distracting and it takes over. The colors also do not match the rest of the page.
The Movie theater design doesn't seem good for text, which the page mostly consists of. Scrolling is sporadic at best, and resizes are not its friend.
BAD
Movie theme
Greece theme
The lego design just strikes a good chord with me. The image is large, but fits into the theme so well it almost isn't noticeable that it takes up half or more of the screen.
The body snatchers design also has a large integrated image. It makes the text engaging without taking up unnecessary amounts of screen space. Over all, I think the body snatchers design is my favorite out of the designs I had a look at.
GOOD
Body Snatchers
Legos
It really took a lot of looking for me to find two instances that I liked. Therefor, the internet killed part of my soul.
People who looked over files with me
Dayne Kilheffer
Tim Leverett
Trevor Mumaugh <--thats me!

Nice work- Picking out certain elements that appeal to you can be the stepping stone to coming up with a killer design.
